For more than 25 years, Reto Juvenil Internacional has helped communities in more than a dozen countries improve quality of life and strengthen their cultural heritage. RJI believes that successful community development involves the people in the planning process and results in self-sufficiency. RJI trains community leaders on the importance of balance in achieving their goals, particularly where initiatives affect the environment.

By volunteering on a community development project, you will change people’s lives by providing vital basic needs such as water, housing, and community buildings. Your project may also provide general education or skills training that help the communities achieve their social and economic goals. Because each of the programs focus on sustainable development, your actions will free the communities from dependency on aid or charity and will result in a lifelong benefit for the people you work with.
